KYIV. According to the final results of a competition titled "Education by the Country" organised by the foundation "Liudy Maibutnoho" (People of the Future) a total of 30 students to leave their universities and study at other higher education institutions of Ukraine within 2 months. "All simple things are obvious. Students' mobility exists for a long time and it is well developed in the world. But this idea is unknown to Ukraine. The foundation decided to launch a project "Education by the Country". I think that the students' mobility in Ukraine can help to unite the youth of the country," said establisher of foundation "Liudy Maibutnoho", Ukrainian singer Svyatoslav Vakarchuk. /ND/ |
On 29 and 30 October 2009 in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv took place a Conference on the Development of Human Rights Education initiated by the Norwegian Helsinki Committee and the Understanding Human Rights Ukrainian Educational Program. During two days 148 participants from different countries shared their expertise and information concerning the existent examples of initiatives, projects and programs for human rights education in Ukraine and abroad.
