A. Yes, they are recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education of Ukraine.

6. What is the duration of the program in Ukraine?
A. The duration varies between 2 - 6 years depending upon the courses of study.

7. What is the currency used in Ukraine?
A. The currency used in Ukraine is Hryvnia and the coins are known as Kopiyka. US Dollars are also acceptable. US$ 1 = 7.5 Hryvnia approximately (Please check current FOREX rates for latest update).

8. What is the language used in Ukraine?
A. The language is Ukrainian, Russian, Romanian, Polish and Hungarian.

9. What is the medium of instruction in Ukraine?
A. The medium of instruction is "ENGLISH".

10. Do we need to qualify any English test like IELTS or TOEFL for seeking admission into Ukrainian University?
A. No, it is not mandatory, but there are educational support programs available for those who need extra help in areas such as ESL or who have learning disorders.

11. Can we apply for the Work Permit after completion of the program?
A. Yes, you can apply for the Work Permit. Universities itself provides job placement in Ukraine and other western countries.

12. Does the student have to come back to his/her home country to apply?
A. No, it is not necessary.

13. Can we apply for Permanent Residence and citizenship of Ukraine?
A. Yes, you can apply but after 2 years of regular stay in Ukraine as per Ukrainian Law.

14. Are Ukrainian degrees valued globally?
A. Yes, they are valued and recognised globally.

15. How is the accommodation arrangement and what are the charges?
A. The University Hostels are available for accommodation and it is included in the fee package.

16. Can we pay the tuition fee in installments?
A. Yes, you can pay the fee in installments.

17. Do we need to pay the books and exam fee separately or is it included in the fee?
A. It is included in the Tuition fee.

18. Any other facility like pick up, bank account opening, etc. is provided by the college?
A. Yes, it is included in the fee package.

19. Can we travel to any other countries while studying in Ukraine? Which countries, when and for how long?
A. Yes, you can travel to other countries like UK, Germany, Sweden, Italy, France, Poland, etc. during summer and winter vacations.

20. In which languages do the teachers teach?
A. Studies are provided in Ukrainian , Russian or English languages.

Conference on Development of HR Education in Ukraine

On 29 and 30 October 2009 in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv took place a Conference on the Development of Human Rights Education initiated by the Norwegian Helsinki Committee and the Understanding Human Rights Ukrainian Educational Program. During two days 148 participants from different countries shared their expertise and information concerning the existent examples of initiatives, projects and programs for human rights education in Ukraine and abroad.
